NNC’s first community art project, the 12′ x 8′ Earth as Art mural, hangs prominently in our main staircase. Created in 2012 through a grant in partnership with Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (Lehigh Valley Arts Council), the exhibit is a result of programming at NNC that involved 37 community members (ages 3-79) in the process of creating a mosaic mural as a conceptual portrait of their community. Participants experienced an increased awareness of the effect of our development on both the environmental and visual landscape.
